Rare Gem Talent School was founded in 2013 under the umbrella of Dyslexia Organization Kenya. The school caters to students who are afflicted by various neurodiverse challenges who have found it difficult to receive an education in the normal curriculum offered. Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment that celebrates student’s strengths and nurtures unique talents. Through specialized and tailored educational programs, We empower students to excel academically and develop their skills. By focusing on academic growth and talent enhancement, Rare Gem Talent School equips students to reach their full potential and achieve future success. Over the years, over 500 students have completed our curriculum and have proceeded to higher learning.
The Text Book Drive
Recently, Rare Gem School has had to adjust the curriculum to fully align with the syllabi taught in regular schools. This has been done in partnership with the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) and the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). What remains is the provision of textbooks that align with its curriculum to the school, which is why we need your help. We require a total of 650 textbooks that will cater to students from grade 1 to grade 8. Each textbook costs $10 (a total of $6500) and so far, the school has been able to raise $1430. We appeal to you to help us get to our target by buying a textbook and thus supporting a neurodiverse child. Any amount will go a long way, and your help is and will always be appreciated.
